Michael Schiltz founded his original construction company 2M Construction in the late 1980's with the purpose in mind of building a modest number of homes. He then changed the name to Family Pryde Homes, Inc in 1997 in order to reflect his family values and commitment to building quality homes in the King County area. Being a Northwest Native, Michael is an active member of Master Builder Association in King County. Michael firmly believes in building Built Green housing of which he is a Charter Member. Built Green homes are designed to provide homeowners with comfortable, durable, environmentally friendly homes. These resource-efficient homes are crafted to exceed building codes and provide homeowners with years of healthy, quality living, while protecting the precious Northwest environment. Green building is an investment in our future, creating communities and regions that are better places to live today and tomorrow. Michael has built single family detached homes in communities such as Bellevue, Kenmore, Tukwila and Bothell, WA. He has been independently affiliated with Pryde Corporation which has done many projects in Seattle and greater King county. Mike has also built quality spec homes and custom homes in the Bellevue and Medina area. Mike has made the transition to land development and created Nexus Development LLC. This has allowed Mike the ability to utilize his years of experience in working with engineers and municipalities in order to seek out quality residential land communities. He then can provide prelim and finished lots with approved construction drawings for other experienced builders to build out exceptional single family communities. Nexus Development reviews land opportunities thoroughly for impact to the community whether it be erosion control and preservation of topsoil during construction, stream and wetland preservation including tree retention in order to have minimal impact to the our highly valued Northwest way of life. Michael Schiltz is interested in development of Northwest land projects and may build out in the future but excels in the ability to analyze all projects for best use of future land development in Washington State. In addition to his dedication to his business, Mike finds time to sail in the Puget Sound as a competitive sailor racing in local, West Coast and National races wining numerous championships. He hopes to train his two young sons to develop both his passion of sailing and his love of the greater Northwest culture. |
